The students opting Bachelors in Botany Honours shall study majorly Botany course. Botany is a comprehensive study of Plants and their biological processes, the links between them and their environment and key aspects of botanical phenomena from molecular to ecological levels.In the span of three year course, in 6 semesters, the students shall gather knowledge of general characteristics about Ecology and distribution,different plants and their special features, range of thallus organization,plant adaptations, genetically modified crops, cell structure and components, pigment system, reserve food, methods of reproduction, classification of pslants, plant resource utilization and the significant contributions of various Botanists. In simpler words, B.Sc. (Hons.) (Botany) degree course is the comprehensive and detailed study of plant sciences. The duration of the course is three years and the course is an important one that opens a lot career scopes for the candidates after its successful completion. There are many colleges/universities which are offering the course in their campuses.

They can also work as Ecologists, Plant Breeder, Nursery Manager, In Food Companies and Oil Industries, Indian Forest Services (IFoS), National Parks and Sanctuary, Documentary maker, forensic experts, Lab Technicians, Wild Life Educator, Wild Life Biologist, and Environmental Consultant etc.
